Yes Geovision system software can send e-mails to certain events you specify to any e-mail address you prefer. If you would like to have e-mail alerts of certain events, such as video lost, record errors, disk is full, and more, then this is what you need to do to enable this feature.
Go to Configure,
-> then look to the top, for "e-mail set-up," then click on it.
In the Mail Setup box, you must specify your SMTP Server, and where the e-mail is being sent from (host), and then in the e-mail To box put in the e-mail address you want the alerts to be sent to.
If your e-mail server requires athentication, then check the box that says "SMTP Mail Server requires authentication", otherwise skip this skip.
Click Ok.
Then click Configure, and click System Configure on top. Look to the right where it says "Monitor Options." Click to check the box on "Send Event Alerts." Then click on the green arrow to the right to specific the events you want e-mailed to you when they happen. Then click Ok, and click Ok again.
You should now start receiving e-mails with the alerts you specified.
