This is not a common issue, but there has been times when the DVR card will not properly display all of the available channels. Some times, this can be related to the connection or main system configuration (activated/deactivated channels). In the situation I'm about to explain, it can be related to a faulty card. This is usually the case when, for example, you have channel 1,5,9, and 13 not working and the other channels are fine (on a 16 channel card) . Each chipset (4 total) on the board is related to four channels, for example chipset #1 functions 1,5,9,13.
